RIMI Estonian City Run series 2025

On January 1st, joint registration opened for the RIMI Estonian City Run series, which this year proudly includes the Valga Valka City Run. Both the 5 km and 10 km distances will count towards the series standings.

The RIMI Estonian City Run series is the largest running series in Estonia, which, in addition to the Valga Valka City Run, includes nine other running events across Estonia. According to Margus Lepik, a board member of the NGO Triatloniakadeemia, being part of the RIMI City Run series is a great help in promoting Valga and Valka among active lifestyle enthusiasts, placing it more prominently on the Estonian running map. "In addition, both we and the organizers of the City Run series hope for greater participation from our southern neighbors," added Lepik.

More about the RIMI Estonian City Run series

The RIMI Estonian City Run series includes 10 running events across Estonia. To participate in the series, runners must accumulate a total of 100 or more kilometers or participate in all stages. Participants can freely combine distances according to their preferences. A ranking will also be determined in the 100+ category. Both the 10 km and 5 km distances of the Valga Valka City Run are included in the series, but only the 10 km distance will count towards the 100+ kilometer tally.

Joint registration for the entire series will be open until March 31, 2025. Participants can also join throughout the season by registering for individual stages. Series results will be calculated based on finish protocols.

To motivate running enthusiasts to participate in all stages, all runners who participate in all ten events, as well as those who meet the 100+ kilometer requirement, will be awarded honorable medals and prizes from supporters.

The Valga Valka City Run will take place on April 13, with the race center located in Valga's central square. In addition to the 5 km and 10 km distances, the program includes children's races and a sporty family day on the previous day.

Joint registration for RIMI Estonian City Run stages is open until March 31!
